７月10日の日曜に、Women Help WomenとRelief 2.0のフィールドチームで、非常に回復力に富み、不屈の精神を持つ日本人女性でかつ東北の災害生存者である一人の女性の元を訪れました。
有限会社オイカワデニムは先見性と起業家精神に富む及川秀子氏をCEOとした素晴らしい会社で、気仙沼市からさらに１時間南に行ったこの山岳沿岸地域の本吉町を津波と地震が襲った際にもその不屈の精神で苦難と危機を乗り越えました。

On Sunday July 10, a field team of Women Help Women and Relief 2.0 paid a visit to an amazing an inspiring woman, a testimony of the resilient and unbreakable spirit of the Japanese women and the Tohoku survivors.
Oikawa Denim Y.K. is a truly amazing company with Mrs. Hideko Oikawa as the visionary, entrepreneurial CEO, having an indomitable spirit in times of hardship and crisis as the Tsunami-Earthquake that hit this mountainous coastal region of Motoyoshi-cho, about 1 hour south of Kesennuma city itself.

The Women Help Women kiosk at the Colombian Independence Celebration at Hibiya Park, Tokyo was very popular and we sold t-shirts, sandals, photos, bags and other articles from Tohoku to raise funds for the survivors and the recovery of the businesses in the region. Mrs. Hideko Oikawa, owner of Oikawa Denim, a factory employing 20 survivors, came all the way from Kesennuma to sell products and fund raise for Tohoku.

[2011 년 7월 7일 -8일, 일본 도쿄] 지난 3월 동 일본 대지진과 쓰나미로 인해 재해지역 긴급구호를 위하여 결성된 Women Help Women (WHW)-한국 여성 구호팀은 오는 7월7일,8일 일본을 방문하여 이번 재해로 피해를 입은 일본, 토호쿠 지역의 여성과 아이들을 돕는 국제 긴급구호 활동을 시작하며, 또한 세계 여성지도자 회의 (GSW) 일본 여성 경제 대표인들과 함께 향후 5년간의 중장기 구호 계획을 가지고 일본 여성 돕기에 나설 예정이다.
2011 Korean Women Entrepreneurs Association (WHW) Begins the Global Summit of Women (GSW) Initiative with Women Entrepreneurs of GSW Initiative Japan, Emergency Relief for Japanese Women in Earthquake-Stricken Region of Tohoku
- WHW Korean delegates to visit Japan and discuss immediate aid plans with women entrepreneurs of GSW Initiative Japan with donation of 100,000 US dollars and 150,000 US dollars worth of goods
- Long-term plans for the residents, especially for women and children in the region devastated by the earthquake and tsunami
[July 7 - 8, 2011, Tokyo, Japan] Women Help Women (WHW) - Korean women's emergency relief team, which was formed to help the areas in Japan hit by the earthquake and tsunami last March - will visit Japan on July 7th-8th to provide immediate aid of 50,000 US dollars and 150,000 US dollars worth of goods and discuss the date of next mission to consider remaining donation/necessities to the affected women and children. Also a plan to make a five-year long term support with strategic planning dedicated to the recovery of Japan, especially for those women affected will be discussed.
